Apartamento

Founded by three men in 2006, the Barcelona based magazine Apartamento was created to bridge a gap found in the interior design industry. All three founders felt that home design was branded as either for women or gay men, with no in-between. Apartamento set out to blur the lines of gender and sexuality and show all aspects of inhabiting space, from decorating and design to a lack thereof. Unlike others in its realm, Apartamento displayed spaces as they were, not fancy and cleaned up. The magazine aims to show a glimpse into different people's lives and their spaces in the truest forms and has no desire to be elitist, but rather, is designed to be inclusive to all.
