MAISON LOUIS MARIE

Maison Louis Marie’s history goes all the way back to 1792, starting with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars, a French botanist. Thouars was exiled to several islands during the French Revolution, where he discovered a plethora of new plants and eventually brought them to France. 200 years later, founder Marie du Petit Thouars grew up playing in her grandfather’s plant nursery, where she would create candles and experiment with scents. Her hobbies eventually led to the luxury Los Angeles based apothecary label, producing candles, perfumes and skincare. With fragrances rooted in her family's horticultural history, scents range from spices and floral arrangements to woodsy aromas. Marie’s husband helped brand commit to clean beauty from ingredients to production, creating a label that takes inspiration from nature while helping preserve it.
