Jil Sander

German designer founded her eponymous label in 1968, focusing on an unparalleled minimalistic style that found its light in the 90's. After launching menswear in 1997, Sander had an on-and-off history with her brand, leaving and returning throughout the 2000’s due to creative differences with the label's change in ownership. While creative direction evolved at Jil Sander, the ascetic minimalism and meticulous attention to silhouetting remained constant. Headed by Lucie & Luke Meier since 2017, former heads of design at Raf Simons' Dior and Supreme respectively, Jil Sander’s vision remains upheld, yet finds an equilibrium between tradition and modern innovation. The pair elevates the brand a sensuality and forward-thinking approach to the classic minimalism the label is known for. Modern cuts, sophisticated details and utility are all staples in Jil Sander collections, displayed through their suiting, blazers, sweaters and trousers.
