This ring is cast in a sterling silver substrate, electroplated with 18k gold and polished. Patterns are etched into the ring by hand. 

FEATURES
  • The patterns or motifs on this piece are created using acid etching. An item is painted with a resistant material and the motif is scratched into the surface by hand. The entire piece is then submerged in acid and the lines that were scratched away are eaten at by the acid and the surface that is painted is protected. The process is artisanal and imperfections should be expected and regarded as a unique characteristic to your specific piece.
